Bolsa Chica State Beach is one of our favorite beaches in Southern California. This campground sets itself along the sandy, duneless coastline, where sunsets are premium. Electric and water hookups are at each site, and a beach front site is best here. Each site has a small sidewalk "patio" that lacks a fire ring and picnic table, but is nicely landscaped and kept clean by State Park employees. A bike/walking path divides the beach from the camp, and this path is a great one
to follow into the coastal town just to the north where a delicious meal or ice cream dessert can be found at Woody's. If you'd like to stay closer to camp, during the summer months a couple of beach cafes are found along the bike path, along with a convenience store and kayak rentals. A visitor center highlighting the Bolsa Chica Ecological Preserve is just across the highway.
Good Sites: Any beach front
