The Virginian RV Park, Jackson, Wyoming
The Virginian RV Park is affiliated with its lodge; an older,
run down lodge that houses one of the original saloons in Jackson. The RV park is close to town, with free city bus service to town, and a short walk to the rodeo. The lodge itself has a pool that is available to RV park guests, along with a liquor store, restaurant and of course, the Virginian Saloon. Interior roads and sites are gravel, with sites separated by a small spot of grass and a picnic table. The park looked a bit run down to us and sites are tight here. However, the pay off is the proximity to town, which we were pleased with. With just over a hundred sites located in the back of the lodge, about 20 of those sites lie along the eastern fence over which a power plant is easily visible. A few trees spot the park. Surrounding views are nice here, with mountains to the south and north. There are a few other RV parks in the area, however we would stay here again because of the easy jaunt to town.
