Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park, Big Sur, California
away from the creek, which will most likely butt up to the mountains and offer privacy. The campground offers an abundance of hiking, the Big Sur Lodge which was constructed in the 1930's and offers ice cream, groceries, meals and of course lodging. You will also find a large a nature center, visitor's center, a softball field, day use picnic areas, a small camp store, laundry facilities and restrooms with hot showers (fee). Interior roads are all paved, while site pads are not. You will find an abundance of water spigots and restrooms throughout the campground. Storms during the 2015-2016 winter season caused havoc on this region and much of the campground was affected. During our stay during fall of 2017 there were still sites and park trails closed for storm repair. Always check road conditions before heading to Big Sur.
