Scandia RV Park, Bend, Oregon

We stayed at Scandia RV Park for almost a week so my hubby could attend a conference in Bend. We chose this park over others for two reasons: close proximity to the conference and its pretty grounds. The park is conveniently located just over a mile from all Bend has to offer, including
downtown and the Old Mill District. Both of these areas are a paradise of breweries, shopping, theaters, and restaurants. The Deschutes River flows through downtown and is a playground for tubers in the summer. Also located nearby (about 10 miles south of the RV park) is Newberry Volcanic National Monument-a must see. The park is very clean, wooded, offering many shady sites with grassy areas, picnic tables, paved roads and pads, and full hookups. Located in the city of Bend, there is a bit of road noise, but worth it to be so close to Bend's attractions. The park has laundry, showers, mailboxes, a common fireplace, a dog run, horseshoe pit, and wi-fi, which can be upgraded for a nominal fee. About a hundred of the sites in this park are for long-term/permanent stays; these rigs are in a separate section than the short-term overnighters. Only about thirty sites are available night-to-night, so reservations are encouraged.

Best Sites: 318-320, 322, 325-326
Poor Sites: 302, 315
Hookups: Electric, Water & Sewer
Potable Water: At each site
Dump Within Facility: At each site
